What she said when negotiating a better deal for her job at Facebook:
'Of course you realise that you're hiring me to run your deal teams so you want me to be a good negotiator. This is the only time you and I will ever be at opposite sides of the table'.
On getting advice on whether to take a job or not :
'Then he explained that only one criterion mattered when picking a job - fast growth...He told me, 'If you are offered a seat on a rocket ship, you don't ask what seat. You get on'.
Feedback from her first formal review with Mark at Facebook:
'One of the first things he told me was that my desire to be liked by everyone would hold me back. He said that when you want to change things you can't please everyone. If you do please everyone you aren't making enough progress. He was right'.
